This edition presents the complete classic album Clap Hands, here Comes Charlie which coupled three superb small group sessions featuring Ella with pianist Lou Levy, guitarist Herb Ellis, bassist Joe Mondragon and drummer Stan Levey. They produced tracks nos. 1 to 14 and were recorded at Los Angeles on June 22, 23 and 24, 1961.
As a bonus we find tracks 15 to 23, most of them for the first time on CD:
15 to 17 - Same personnel as above, except Wilfred Middlebrooks replaces Mondragon at the bass, and Gus Johnson replaces Levey at the drums.  New York, January 23, 1961
18 - Lou Levy, celeste; Dick Hyman, organ; Max Bennett, bass; Gus Johnson, drums.  Los Angeles, July 1, 1958
     A real curiosity!
19 to 23  - Raymond Tunia, piano; Ray Brown, bass; Buddy Rich, drums.  Bushnell Memorial Auditorium, Hartford, Connecticut, September 17, 1954.
